这是一张带着浓郁Country Blues/Folk-Blues根源的唱片，令人想到是Leonard Cohen那种令人怦然心动的Ballad作品，或是Gram Parson的朴实乡谣，以至Nick Drake的幽 萧条音乐氛围。在黯然神伤的思潮间所泛着的是阵阵诗意之美，俨如在夜深人静时分身处一片静谧的草原，周遭伴随你的只有晚空的星星以及Brendan孤寂的歌声。

唱片开首曲Saturday's Child已马上展现上Brendan那份和谐简朴的Country情怀，或者从他重唱Tim Buckley的I Must Have Been Blind当中已正正交代了他的音乐根源所在。而在Capitive Heart和Death Will Be My Bride的蓝调与惨白色调，却勾划出公路电影里的意境画面。

也许在Voyage of Bran和Medusa这两首作品的曲式与Brendan的演绎上都是最能勾起对DEAD CAN DANCE的回忆；再听Archangel里Brendan的嗓音，是仍是如斯孤高得不吃人间烟火。
