To give topics does not always work. That is the experience I have got after having successfully hosted an English corner in Hangzhou.

Why should we prepare for the topic? Just take it easy, it is simple to speak English, and it is simple to communicate with others in English.

You can say something interesting during the English corner time, which may arrouse other's interest to discuss with you.
